Dr. Charles Cook

Charles E. Cook, M.D. is an Orthopedic Surgeon with a sub-specialty in disorders of the foot and ankle. He is the Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also serves as the head of John Peter Smith�s Foot and Ankle service. In addition, he assists with training the residents at his private practice in Dallas, as well as the JPS Problem Foot and Ankle Clinic. Dr. Cook received his medical degree from Louisiana State University, New Orleans in 1983. He completed his internship in General Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital, and his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Cook has worked with several of the professional sports teams in the Dallas area including the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and the Dallas Burn. Dr. Cook completed his Foot and Ankle Fellowship under the training of Dr. Donald Mauldin. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has been in practice with Orthopedic Specialists since July 1990.
