Michael J. Champine, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in Adult Reconstructive Surgery. This area of expertise includes total knee replacement and total hip replacement. Dr. Champine has specialized training and expertise in the most up to date techniques, such as minimally invasive hip replacement, minimally invasive knee replacement, 2-incision hip replacement, quad-sparing knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and computer-assisted surgery. In addition, he has considerable experience with the most current implant technologies, such as metal-on-metal hip replacement, ceramic hip replacement, rotating platform knee replacements and hip resurfacing. Dr. Champine grew up in a close knit family in South Texas. His work ethic and values were instilled from his parents, a plumber and a school teacher. As a youth, he was active in sports, school, and church. He graduated high school as the valedictorian of his class while earning all-district honors in basketball and baseball. He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1988, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated first in his class. He then completed his residency training at Parkland Memorial Hospital and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Champine�s fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery under Dr. Jerome Wiedel was at The University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Colorado, where he served as an Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1994. He was also an attending physician at the Denver Veteran�s Administration Hospital. Dr. Champine is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and an Assistant Clinical Professor at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Dr. Champine is married to a radiologist and they have two young children. He enjoys watching and playing all sports and enjoying life on Cedar Creek Lake.

Dr. Evan Bates has been practicing Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Dallas for over 16 years. He attended medical school at the University of North Carolina and completed his residency training at UCLA Medical Center. During his residency he completed research in sinus disease focusing on nasal polyps performed one of the first endoscopic sinus surgery procedures at UCLA when he was Chief Resident. He is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Head and Neck Surgery and the American Rhinologic Society. His practice focuses on pediatric ENT, the treatment of sinus disease, and head and neck surgery.
